Miller Nash’s bankruptcy & creditors’ rights team helps clients throughout the West Coast navigate collection and insolvency challenges with practical, business-focused counsel. With a focus on commercial credits, the team advises regional and national lenders, special servicers, creditors’ committees, trade creditors, court-appointed receivers, asset purchasers, and commercial landlords on strategies to manage risk, preserve value, and move matters forward. In addition to general commercial collections, attorneys have significant industry expertise with credits involving commercial real estate, senior housing, health care, food processing, manufacturing, agriculture, timber, and intellectual property.
Prior to joining Miller Nash, David and Andrew practiced at a prominent Pacific Northwest law firm.
About David Criswell
David focuses his practice on business bankruptcy, receiverships, loan workouts and recoveries, loan documentation, and real estate. He has represented numerous trustees, secured lenders, and purchasers in complex Chapter 11 cases. David also frequently represents receivers in complex insolvency proceedings as well as both lenders and borrowers in out-of-court loan restructurings. He is trusted by special servicers, community and regional banks, distressed asset purchasers, and bridge lenders for assistance with loan recoveries, loan documentation, asset acquisitions, and other financial services issues. He received his bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College before earning his law degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
About Andrew Geppert
Andrew advises clients in all aspects of insolvency work, including the representation of debtors, lenders, creditors, trustees, and receivers both in and out of court. He also represents lenders and borrowers in connection with loan documentation, loan enforcement, and other financial services issues. Before private practice, Andrew served as a law clerk for the Honorable Marvin Isgur in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas. He received his bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University before earning his law degree at the University of Houston Law Center.
