Miller Nash welcomes Daniel Fleissig to the firm’s bankruptcy & creditors’ rights team. Daniel, based in the firm’s Long Beach office and operating out of San Francisco, counsels corporate clients across a wide variety of industries on all aspects of restructuring financially distressed businesses. He represents lenders and creditors in financing transactions, collection actions, and enforcing and collecting on judgements.

Daniel joins Miller Nash’s bankruptcy & creditors’ rights team. With a focus on commercial credits, the team represents regional and national lenders, creditors’ committees, trade creditors, court-appointed receivers, asset purchasers, and commercial landlords, and attorneys assist in a wide range of collection and insolvency situations. In addition to general commercial collections, attorneys have significant industry expertise with credits involving commercial real estate, senior housing, health care, food processing, manufacturing, agriculture, timber, and intellectual property.

Prior to joining Miller Nash, Daniel practiced at a boutique California firm, where he drafted motions and pleadings, conducted legal research, and worked closely with clients to address complex disputes. During law school, Daniel earned a CALI Award for Excellence in Legal Research and Writing. He also served as a judicial extern to the Presiding Judge of the San Francisco Superior Court, where he researched and analyzed dispositive motions and gained insight into judicial decision-making. Before law school, Daniel spent four years as a litigation paralegal where he developed a strong foundation in legal research, writing, and complex litigation support.

He is a prompt, responsive communicator who takes time to understand clients’ specific concerns and objectives and works to efficiently develop creative, practical solutions tailored to their needs. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz, before earning his law degree at University of California Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings).
