Miller Nash paralegals, Leah Aldred and Brandon Rueda, were recently elected to serve on the Oregon Paralegal Association (OPA) Board of Directors. Leah was elected as a board director for a two-year term and Brandon was elected as president of the board.
Both Leah and Brandon have been involved with OPA for many years. Leah previously served as a board member, vice president, and was OPA president from 2016-2018. Brandon served as secretary, board director, and just completed his term as OPA vice president.
The OPA is a volunteer-based professional association whose members are paralegals, students, and others who are interested in the paralegal profession.
About Leah Aldred
Leah supports the firm’s employment law and education practice teams and has over 13 years of experience in case management, research and analysis, electronic discovery, and trial support and preparation. As a paralegal, she has worked in various practice areas such as construction defect, insurance defense, personal injury, and also has specialized employment experience in collaborating closely with attorneys on workplace investigations. Before joining Miller Nash, Leah worked for a boutique Portland law firm where she focused exclusively on supporting employers, including higher education institutions, on employment-related litigation.
About Brandon Rueda
Brandon supports the firm’s general litigation practice. He has several years of experience assisting attorneys in all phases of litigation in state, federal, and appellate courts, as well as administrative and arbitration forums. He regularly assists with discovery, including document and data management, review and production, and eDiscovery. He is also experienced in assisting with collecting and analyzing electronically stored information and data forensic investigations. Prior to working as a paralegal, Rueda spent almost ten years as the director of orchestra operations at the Pacific Symphony.
