Miller Nash Graham & Dunn LLP was recognized as the 2018 Employer of the Year (Less Than 20 Industry Employees) by the International Right of Way Association (IRWA) at its international conference earlier this month.
This award is given to a company or organization that is an active supporter of its employees as members of the IRWA. Recipients demonstrate strong employee support and commitment at the chapter, region, and international levels of the Association in terms of participation, financing, time allowance, facilities, and service.
Miller Nash Graham & Dunn has been a member and active participant in the IRWA for over 15 years, encouraging its professionals involved in the industry to attend and present at local, regional, and national events, volunteer to serve on local and national committees, and develop and maintain relationships with those in the organization. Over the past five years, several employees have spoken at local, regional, and national conferences, taught IRWA seminars, and volunteered for both the Puget Sound chapter and at the international level.
Firm involvement is led by partner Matthew Hansen, team leader of the Condemnation and Real Estate Valuation team. Hansen is a past president of the Puget Sound Chapter and currently serves the Association as its chair of the International Ethics Committee. He also teaches multiple IRWA courses in the Real Estate Law 800 series for local chapters in several states.
In 2018, the firm received the IRWA Puget Sound Chapter’s Employer of the Year award for its support of the local chapter.
