Miller Nash attorney Ally McLain has joined The FLIP Museum Board of Directors. The FLIP Museum is a multicultural children’s museum that brings children and their adults together to learn, connect, and build community through play. Through hands-on experiences in arts, STEM, culture, and open-ended exploration, it supports cognitive development, social-emotional learning, and family engagement during the most formative years of childhood. The FLIP Museum is committed to creating welcoming, accessible spaces where all children can develop confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.

About Ally McLain

Ally is a member of Miller Nash’s employment law & labor relations practice team, advising Oregon and Washington employers on compliance and litigation matters. Her practice focuses on wage and hour compliance, navigating state and federal leave laws, workplace accommodations, workers’ compensation, and prevention of discrimination, retaliation, and harassment. She also conducts independent workplace investigations into employee claims of discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, leave law violations and policy breaches. In addition, Ally supports clients through policy development, contract drafting, and workplace trainings.

Before pursuing her legal career, Ally earned a food science degree, worked within the quality departments of various food manufacturing facilities, and had the opportunity to create (and taste test) ten-pound wheels of Gruyère. She combines her scientific background with her legal expertise to deliver thoughtful and practical advice in an accessible and organized manner to help clients navigate complex workplace challenges.

She received her bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University before earning her law degree at Lewis & Clark Law School.
