Christopher Riley represents clients in a variety of complex litigation matters. He assists with all stages of litigation, from conducting research, preparing memoranda, and drafting briefs to trial support.
As a member of Miller Nash’s international and maritime teams, Chris has supported efforts to enforce foreign arbitral awards in United States courts, to foreclose on preferred maritime mortgages, to arrest and attach vessels, and to litigate maritime contract and tort claims.
Before joining Miller Nash, Chris gained valuable trial and appellate experience as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Gabrielle R. Wolohojian at the Massachusetts Appeals Court (2020-21) and the Honorable Karin J. Immergut at the United States District Court for the District of Oregon (2021-22). During his clerkships he prepared trial materials for federal civil and criminal trials; drafted opinions and orders for motion practice in federal court; drafted state appellate decision; and attended oral arguments and trials.
