Miller Nash Graham & Dunn partner Joseph Vance was recently elected to the board of directors of Columbia Credit Union. He will serve a three-year term and will participate on the financial performance committee. In addition to committee involvement, board members advise Columbia Credit Union’s management team on strategic planning and business performance, as well as support new community-involvement initiatives. Columbia Credit Union is a community-driven financial cooperative that has been serving the greater Vancouver and Portland areas for more than 65 years by providing its members with the personalized service, support and creative financial solutions they need to create the life they want to live.

Vance has more than 20 years’ experience representing clients in a wide variety of complex litigation in both state and federal court in Washington and Oregon. The types of cases litigated include a full range of employment-related claims (employer defense); all types of real-estate-related litigation, including adverse possession and other property disputes; corporate governance disputes; construction disputes; and TEDRA and guardianship litigation. Vance is active in the southwest Washington community, serving on the board of the Ridgefield School District and as a past board member of the Boys & Girls Club of Southwest Washington. He received his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University before earning his law degree at University of Washington School of Law.
