Miller Nash Graham & Dunn attorney Iván Resendiz Gutierrez was recently elected to serve as co-chair of the Board of Directors of the Oregon Minority Lawyers Association (OMLA). OMLA is committed to developing a legal community in Oregon that provides a welcoming environment where people of all colors, races, and ethnic backgrounds can excel academically, professionally and personally. Resendiz Gutierrez has served as a board member since 2016.

Resendiz Gutierrez is a ligation and appellate attorney on the firm’s appellate, education and employment and labor relations practice teams. He is known for handling complex cases and situations, providing practical advice, and finding creative solutions for clients from such diverse industries as education, energy and manufacturing. Before joining Miller Nash Graham & Dunn, Resendiz Gutierrez served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Lynn R. Nakamoto at the Oregon Supreme Court and the Oregon Court of Appeals. He is active in the Oregon legal community, currently serving as a member of the Oregon State Bar Appellate Practice Section Executive Committee and a board member of the Legal Aid Services of Oregon and the Oregon Law Center. Resendiz Gutierrez is a past president of the Oregon Hispanic Bar Association. A proud “Double Duck,” Resendiz Gutierrez earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Oregon before receiving his law degree from the University of Oregon School of Law.
