Brian Guthrie Elected to Second Term on Washington State Bar Association Construction Law Executive Committee

Brian Guthrie, a partner of Miller Nash LLP, was recently elected to serve a second term on the Washington State Bar Association Construction Law Executive Committee.

The Construction Law Section (“Section”) promotes the education of members in laws, regulations, and administrative and court decisions and the sound development of relevant laws and regulations. Section members engage in a broad spectrum of business activities relating to contract drafting and negotiation and bidding processes, as well as all varieties of dispute resolution including arbitration, mediation, litigation, and bid protest.

Brian is actively involved in the Pacific Northwest construction industry, serving as a board member of the Construction Financial Management Association, Puget Sound Chapter, and as a member of the Associated General Contractors of Washington.

About Brian Guthrie
Brian's practice focuses on construction law and he represents general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and owners on complex public and private construction projects throughout the Pacific Northwest, Alaska, and beyond.

Brian has substantial experience drafting and negotiating agreements on the front end of construction projects, advising clients on public bidding issues and disputes, and managing claims during the course of construction, including delay and impact, differing site conditions, and supply chain disruption. He also has significant experience litigating and arbitrating complex multi-million dollar construction disputes post-construction.

He received both his law degree and bachelor’s degree from University of Washington.
