Mohamad J. Shaer

Mohamad Shaer is an associate on the firm’s litigation team, where he supports the team across all phases of case development, from inception through resolution. Drawing on his appellate and trial background, Mohamad brings strong research, writing, and analytical skills to complex legal issues and has a proven ability to turn intricate legal matters into clear, well-reasoned arguments. Mohamad’s judicial background informs his approach to pleadings, motions, discovery materials, and other litigation-related documents, ensuring that legal arguments are well-supported, accurately cited, and strategically tailored to client objectives. He collaborates closely with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and colleagues to help the team manage cases efficiently and advocate effectively for clients.

During law school, Mohamad worked with the Civil Enforcement Division’s litigation team at the Oregon Department of Justice and served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Chief Judge Erin C. Lagesen of the Oregon Court of Appeals. Before joining Miller Nash, he worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Justice Stephan K. Bushong of the Oregon Supreme Court and the Honorable Judge Rima I. Ghandour of the Multnomah County Circuit Court where he collaborated closely with the judges, drafted and edited judicial opinions, and prepared legal memoranda addressing complex and often novel issues of law.
