Miller Nash Graham & Dunn LLP attorney Iván Resendiz Gutierrez will be receiving the Oregon State Bar President's Diversity & Inclusion Award in the fall. The award recognizes members who have made significant contributions to the goal of increasing minority representation in the legal profession through creative employment efforts, innovative recruitment and retention programs, advocacy or other significant efforts. Resendiz Gutierrez will be honored at the OSB Annual Awards luncheon on November 8.

"We applaud Iván for this well-deserved honor and look forward to continuing to support his commitment to diversity and inclusion efforts within the community," said Dennis Rawlinson, firm chair of Miller Nash Graham & Dunn. "The firm has a strong belief that a diverse team creates greater business value and is essential to a broader and richer environment for creative problem‐solving."

Resendiz Gutierrez is currently the president-elect of the Oregon Hispanic Bar Association (OHBA); a board member of the Oregon Minority Lawyers Association (OMLA); and an active speaker and advocate of the Opportunities for Law in Oregon (OLIO), the Oregon State Bar's recruitment and retention program for underrepresented law students. In April, he also co-created and hosted An Evening With Los Jueces (the Judges), kicking off the new "Evening With" series sponsored by the OHBA and the MBA Young Lawyers Section. The event series profiles Latinx leaders with a high level of professional achievement and strong commitment to community service.
