Washington Initiative for Diversity Summit

Miller Nash is pleased to host the 2021 Washington Initiative for Diversity Summit: Measurement and Accountability: Committing To Targeting & Tracking DEI Efforts Post COVID-19.

Since its inception, the Washington Initiative for Diversity (WID) has provided tools and resources to help legal employers build an inclusive work environment and a diverse workforce. The annual Legal Executives Diversity Summit convenes representatives from law firms of all sizes, lawyers from government law departments, and in-house counsel for a one-day summit. The goal of the Legal Executives Diversity Summit is to inform attendees about varying topics regarding diversity within the legal profession. Historically, the summit has covered topics such as implicit bias, a review of the historical analysis of the development of barriers to diverse attorneys and law students, and a tool box for legal employers to develop an inclusive work environment. 

This year's CLE summit will be a forum to discuss ways in which organizations are intentionally adopting policies and procedures that create opportunities for advancement of diverse attorneys within all sectors of the profession.
