Portland Art Museum v. Ann Beha Architects, Inc. Multimillion-dollar recovery arising from negligence/breach of warranty claims against an architectural firm. Obtained multimillion-dollar recovery during the course of a mediation that involved breach of contract, negligence, and breach of warranty against a Boston architectural firm arising from incomplete and uncoordinated drawings in connection with the renovation of the Masonic Temple and construction of the Mark Building, the new home of the Portland Art Museum. Representation of the museum additionally included resolution of multimillion-dollar contractor and subcontractor claims (which were resolved for less than 30 percent of the principal amount of the claims) and avoiding payment of any costs or attorney fees.
Represented private education institution in federal lawsuit alleging claims under Section 1983, prevailing on motion to dismiss and successfully obtaining dismissal with prejudice.
Prepare distribution agreements between U.S. alcoholic beverage companies and foreign wholesalers.
Represented major corporation in defending against government entity’s environmental claims associated with historic petroleum operations in the vicinity of a former pier in northern California.
Represented vessel owner against vessel repair yard in breach of contract claim for faulty repair.

Represented clients in a diversity of permitting, enforcement, and appeal matters before City of Portland bureaus and offices, including the Bureau of Development Services, Bureau of Environmental Service, Bureau of Planning and Sustainability, Bureau of Revenue, Bureau of Transportation, Housing Bureau, Water Bureau, Hearings Office, Revenue Office, and City Council.
S3H, Inc. v. Hoffman Construction Company of Oregon and Intel Corporation. Federal lawsuit and three-week arbitration resulting in successful defense of Hoffman and Intel in the face of claims approaching $40 million by a subcontractor.
Represented a financial institution in a putative class action in state court asserting claims for breach of contract and violations of Oregon’s Unlawful Trade Practices Act, prevailing on motion to dismiss.
