Jeffrey G. Condit


Jeff’s practice focuses on government, municipal and administrative law, education, construction contracting, and land use planning for public- and private-sector clients. He enjoys advising private clients on how to navigate the often-complex public and administrative processes relating to operating a business or use of property. He also enjoys working with public-sector clients to help achieve their important civic and educational goals. He likes to work as part of the client’s team, with a focus on problem-solving.

Areas of Jeff’s work include state and local governance, K-12 and higher education law, government entities, public finance, public records and meetings, revenue and taxation, public contracting, construction contracting, utility franchising, land use planning, including energy facility siting, and election law. Jeff is licensed to practice in Oregon and Washington.

Representative Experience

Serves as general counsel for community college districts, school districts, and cities. Before joining Miller Nash LLP, Jeff served as city attorney for the city of Lake Oswego (1991-1998) and as Benton County counsel (1986-1991).
Drafted construction contracts and revisions to AIA form contracts for public- and private-sector clients, including community colleges, private universities, school districts, and cities.
Assisted Portland Community College in the development and implementation of its 2000 and 2008 bond program expansions, including land use, construction contracts, property acquisition, and election law issues.
Assisted several public clients with siting of solar facilities on the roofs of new and remodeled buildings. Assisted wind and solar energy clients with obtaining and defending on appeal county land use approvals for renewable energy projects.
Assisted cities and counties with amendments to their home-rule charters.
