Jeff C. Miller

Jeff concentrates his practice on environmental law, with a particular emphasis on hazardous waste cleanup, enforcement issues, and Clean Water Act permitting issues. A secondary focus of his practice is insurance coverage work on behalf of policyholders, usually in conjunction with environmental claims. A significant portion of Jeff’s work involves the Portland Harbor and Lower Duwamish Waterway Superfund sites. This work includes representing clients in private allocation processes, reviewing technical documents, and analyzing client liability and potential defenses. He also helps clients at these and other sites obtain insurance coverage.

Jeff clerked for the Washington State Attorney General's Office and the United States Department of the Interior. Before attending law school, Jeff was a Senior Geographic Systems (GIS) Analyst and National Park Ranger.

Jeff is a frequent contributor to Miller Nash Graham & Dunn's real estate, construction, and environmental law blog, From the Ground Up.
