Marcena Day

About Marcena
Marcena Day is an associate on the firm’s education and employment law practice teams. She utilizes her background in education, employment, and civil rights law to provide clients with thorough insight and guidance while assisting with their matters. Marcena began at Miller Nash as a summer associate in 2020 where she supported the education, employment, privacy & data security, and tribal teams in conducting legal research and drafting memoranda.
While in law school, Marcena served as a judicial extern for the Honorable John H. Chun at the Washington Court of Appeals where she conducted research and drafted bench memos. As a law clerk with University of Washington’s Civil Rights and Justice Clinic, she represented clients across the country in all phases of federal litigation. She also provided research for amicus briefs before the Washington Supreme Court with the Washington American Civil Liberties Union. Marcena was recognized for her significant contributions to her community as a Husky 100 and Student Bar Association Award for Student Service. Prior to law school, Marcena worked as a reading instructor and crosswalk guard at Seattle Public Schools’ Leschi Elementary.
