Lorien Giles is a commercial litigator practicing in both California and Washington. He assists clients in all stages of litigation, including pre-litigation strategy, discovery, depositions, and decisive motions practice. He has worked with individuals, executives, and businesses from diverse areas, including consumer products, finance, environmental law, transportation, manufacturing, healthcare, entertainment, professional services, technology, and cannabis.
Lorien handles a wide variety of complex commercial litigation matters. Recently, he successfully defended entities against Clean Water Act claims, achieved substantial recoveries from banking institutions, and handled a litigation portfolio for a major telecommunications company.
Before joining Miller Nash, Lorien was an associate at a litigation boutique firm in Los Angeles, California, where he worked on complex commercial disputes and various other matters, including defending students accused of misconduct as a part of the Varsity Blues Scandal and developing a case which resulted in a multi-million-dollar malpractice award. While at UCLA, he worked as a research assistant focusing on amicus briefs before the U.S. Supreme Court.
