Midlevel Employment & Labor Law Associate (Portland)
Our employment law and labor practice team is looking to add an employment associate with two to four years of experience in Portland, Oregon!
The employment and labor attorneys at Miller Nash are dedicated to helping clients understand their legal obligations, implement tools and strategies to demonstrate compliance, and effectively manage risk. We represent local, regional, and national companies and public entities and institutions in all facets of labor and employment law in union and nonunion environments.
Our ideal candidate will have focused experience in employment law, preferably in representation of both public and private management/employers in state and federal courts, as well as agency proceedings. Additional experience drafting policies, handbooks, and employment-related agreements, and advising employers on wage/hour issues, leave law compliance, disability accommodation, and discrimination and retaliation issues, preferred.
We are looking for a team member who is hard working and responsive, exercises good judgment under pressure, has excellent research and writing skills, is self-directed while maintaining the ability to work in a team environment, and will be ready to hit the ground running on pending cases and immediate client needs. Membership in the Oregon State Bar Association or qualification for reciprocity is required. California State Bar license is a plus.
