Miller Nash welcomes Marcena Day to the Portland office where she will join the firm’s preeminent education and employment law & labor relations teams. She will utilize her background in education, employment and civil rights law to assist education institutions throughout the Pacific Northwest. Marcena began at Miller Nash as a summer associate in 2020 where she supported the education, employment and tribal teams.
About Marcena Day
During law school, Marcena served as a judicial extern for the Honorable John H. Chun at the Washington Court of Appeals where she conducted research and drafted bench memos. As a law clerk with the University of Washington’s Civil Rights and Justice Clinic, she represented wrongfully convicted individuals across the country in all phases of federal litigation. She also provided research for amicus briefs before the Washington Supreme Court with the Washington American Civil Liberties Union. Marcena received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado, Denver before earning her law degree at the University of Washington School of Law.
