Turpen, who brings 20 years of employment experience, joins the firm’s leading employment team where she will represent private and public companies in Oregon, Washington, and California in a wide range of employment law claims related to discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour matters.
About Kjersten Turpen
Turpen has extensive experience representing clients in federal and state courts as well as before administrative agencies such as the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the State of Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries. She also counsels employers on managing day-to-day risk in the workplace and assists in drafting policies, agreements, and employee handbooks. Turpen regularly provides workplace trainings and has conducted independent employment investigations involving allegations of hostile work environment, racial discrimination, and retaliation. Turpen received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon before earning her law degree at Santa Clara University School of Law.
