Law firm Miller Nash Graham & Dunn LLP announced today that Doug Morris has joined the firm’s business team as of May 2. With deep experience in business transactions, Morris focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, securities and general corporate representation of businesses, from high-technology and high-growth companies to nonprofits and social enterprises.
Morris, who has a law degree from Lewis & Clark Law School, joins Miller Nash Graham & Dunn as a partner after more than 15 years at Ater Wynne, where he was chair of the business department from 2009 to 2013 and managing partner from 2013 to 2015. He has been listed in Oregon Super Lawyers® and has also been selected by his peers for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America© in the field of corporate law.
“Doug is a true business adviser and brings an impressive depth of experience with him,” said Erich Merrill, who leads Miller Nash Graham & Dunn’s business team. “He has worked with buyers and sellers on mergers and acquisitions, teamed with investors and companies to negotiate and close successful equity financings and advised clients on antitrust and trade regulation issues. Just as important, Doug shares our focus on furthering the work of clients who are dedicated to their mission and their community.”
In addition to his law practice, Morris serves on the board of Metropolitan Public Defender Services, a nonprofit provider of criminal defense for low-income clients. He has also served on the board of Albertina Kerr Centers and volunteered with the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network.
