PORTLAND, Ore. –
Miller Nash LLP announced today that litigation partner
Thomas Sand has been inducted as a fellow into the
American College of Trial Lawyers. Founded in 1950, the College is composed of the best trial lawyers from the United States and Canada. Fellowship in the College is extended by invitation only and only to experienced trial lawyers whose careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality.
“Tom’s induction into the American College of Trial Lawyers recognizes his illustrious contributions to the practice of law,” said Kieran Curley, managing partner of Miller Nash. “We’re very proud of this tremendous accomplishment and feel lucky to practice alongside him.”
Membership in the College cannot exceed more than 1 percent of the total lawyer population of any state or province in the United States and Canada, and qualified lawyers are chosen as fellows from all branches of trial practice. The College is thus able to speak with a balanced voice on important issues facing the legal profession and the administration of justice.
Sand’s induction took place in September at the College’s 2014 annual meeting in London before an audience of nearly 900 people.
