The financial crisis has prompted many businesses to question the financial stability of their banks and to wonder what laws and regulations exist to protect them if their banks fail. This two-hour breakfast seminar will provide the information you need to answer your clients' questions and help them make good decisions about their banking relationships.
The seminar will feature Mary Ann Frantz of Miller Nash, Richard Renken of the Oregon Division of Finance and Corporate Securities and Marc Williams of Davis Wright Tremaine. Frantz has 30 years of experience advising businesses and financial institutions on issues such as corporate governance, securities, and transactions. Renken is the Program Manager for Banks & Trusts at the Oregon Division of Finance and Corporate Securities. He is responsible for monitoring the financial practices of banks in Oregon and for enforcing Oregon's banking regulations. Williams advises clients in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate law and has extensive experience working with financial institutions, from community banks to large, multinational banks.
