Miller Nash Hires Valerie Sasaki as Associate
Valerie Sasaki, an established Pacific Northwest tax attorney, has joined Miller Nash LLP, one of the Pacific Northwest’s largest multispecialty law firms focusing on business and litigation. At Miller Nash, Sasaki will continue her practice in federal and state tax law, with a special focus on multistate income and franchise, sales and use, and property tax issues. She will be based in Miller Nash's Portland, Ore. office.

Sasaki brings six years of experience in multistate taxation law to Miller Nash. Prior to joining the firm, she served as a state and local tax group manager in the Portland office of an international tax and accounting firm where she advised clients on local and multi-state tax issues. Additionally, Sasaki currently holds the position of secretary for the Oregon State Bar Taxation Section, is an adjunct professor of state and local tax at the University of Oregon School of Law and is an active member of the Japan America Society of Oregon.
Sasaki earned her bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from Tulane University and her law degree from the University of Oregon. She later went on to receive her Master of Law (LL.M.) in taxation from the University of Washington.
