Professional Experience
Abraham J.B. Cable, a partner in the business department, joined Miller Nash in 2000. He concentrates his practice in securities law and corporate finance. Abe assists privately held and publicly traded companies with mergers and acquisitions, SEC reporting, corporate governance, and private and public offerings of securities. He has also represented minority shareholder groups in proxy contests, liquidating trusts created by the United States Bankruptcy Court in selling asset-backed securities and other financial assets, and other clients in negotiating technology-related agreements.

Professional Activities
Abe has been admitted to practice in Oregon since 2000. He serves on the executive committee of the Oregon State Bar's Business Law section, is a member of the Oregon State Bar's Securities Regulation section, and serves on the board of directors of the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network. Abe was selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers–Rising Stars Edition 2008.

Education
Abe received his bachelor's degree in history from the University of Puget Sound. He received his law degree, cum laude, from Harvard Law School, where he served as an editor and a member of the articles selection committee of the Harvard Law Review.

Personal Activities

Abe enjoys running, playing basketball, and reading nonfiction. He is an avid fan of the Portland Trail Blazers basketball team.
