Miller Nash has had the privilege of providing legal services to colleges, universities, and both public and private K-12 schools throughout the Northwest for more than 50 years. Over this period, the legal service needs of our education clients have evolved and Miller Nash's ability to meet these needs has similarly evolved. Miller Nash provides a core of attorneys who are well experienced in the more traditional legal issues facing educational institutions, including student conduct and dismissal matters, employment matters, and faculty promotion and tenure issues.
At the same time, Miller Nash increasingly finds itself providing legal advice and services to its education clients in such areas as intellectual property, particularly copyright and trademark, restrictions and limitations peculiar to nonprofits, Federal Communications Commission issues, affiliation and licensing agreements, and the land use permitting, construction contracting, and financing required for expansion projects. Miller Nash is proud of its ability to anticipate and respond to the evolving legal service needs of its education clients and is committed to devoting the necessary resources to ensure the continuation of this responsiveness for the future.
