Senior Lawyer Recruiting Coordinator (Seattle)

Job Description:

We’re looking for an exceptional candidate to join our Lawyer Recruiting team. This position is based in our Seattle office and the ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal, organizational, time management, and communication skills paired with a dedicated client service mentality and change agility. This role will serve as our firm liaison and ambassador in many forums and will work directly with attorneys, staff, law students, law school career services personnel, and vendors. The ability to maintain confidentiality, manage several concurrent priorities, and present a positive and professional image in person and over the phone is critical.

Some of the things you’ll be doing include, but are not limited to:

  • Sourcing lateral lawyer candidates, including preparing job postings, working with practice team leaders to identify potential candidates, and coordinating interviews; 
  • Helping develop and facilitate the onboarding process for new attorneys;
  • Coordinating and preparing on-campus registration materials; 
  • Pre-screening applicant resumes; 
  • Setting up and preparing interview schedules; 
  • Preparing correspondence for applicants; 
  • Updating candidate databases and spreadsheets; 
  • Preparing and maintaining candidate and new attorney files; 
  • Preparing orientation schedules and materials; 
  • Coordinating the summer associate program, including tracking workflow and organizing activities; 
  • Coordinating candidate travel; 
  • Updating industry forms and surveys; 
  • Maintaining information on department internet and intranet sites; 
  • Assisting in the coordination of diversity events and attorney educational sessions; 
  • Attending and/or overseeing recruiting and diversity events, and/or attorney education sessions as a firm representative; and 
  • Scheduling office meetings.

Some overtime will be required, including working at evening events.

Where you’ll be doing it:

Our office is located at 2801 Alaskan Way on Pier 70 in Seattle, Washington.

Competencies you should have:

  • Exceptional people skills and a positive, can-do mindset;
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills; 
  • High level of diplomacy; 
  • Strong networking skills; 
  • Experience with candidate sourcing and recruiting; 
  • Three to five years of administrative experience in a professional services setting; 
  • Ability to establish and model standards that guarantee exceptional work quality; 
  • Ability to maintain composure in a variety of situations; 
  • Highly adaptable; and 
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

The following skills/experience are a plus:

  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • Experience in lawyer recruiting;
  • Experience with viDesktop or similar applicant tracking system;
  • Experience with Leopard Solutions lateral tracking system; and/or
  • Intermediate Adobe Acrobat Pro.

You will work with the firm’s Director of Lawyer Recruiting and Professional Development, attorneys, administrative managers, various personnel at all levels, career services staff at law schools, state bar staff, student and attorney applicants, and catering and event-related vendors.
