Jeannie Lihs and
Brenna Dickey have been appointed as president and board advisor, respectively, of the
Oregon Paralegal Association (OPA) board of directors. OPA is a professional association dedicated to advancing and promoting the professional and educational standards of paralegals.
Lihs, who works with Miller Nash’s bankruptcy & creditors rights team, as well as the debtor-creditor litigation team, has been serving OPA as a board member since 2011. She serves as the president of OPA, ad hoc 2015 Joint Conference Committee chair and current cochair of the Debtor/Creditor Specialty Group. Lihs was OPA's vice president in 2013-2014 and treasurer from 2006 to 2008.
Dickey, who works in Miller Nash’s business department, has been serving as the board’s president in 2013-2014 was vice president from 2011 to 2013, was secretary from 2009 to 2011 and currently serves as the board advisor. She will also continue to serve as chair for OPA's Corporate Specialty Group. Dickey received the OPA President’s Award in 2012 and 2013 for her work on the board during the previous year, the Outstanding Member Award in 2013 and the Outstanding New Member Award in 2009.
