Coincides with Recently Established Charitable Miller Nash Legacy Fund
PORTLAND, Ore. – Miller Nash LLP has been named the sixth most philanthropic mid-sized company in Oregon and SW Washington by the Portland Business Journal. Rankings were compiled by 2012 charitable donations from companies with revenue between $10 million and $50 million. Miller Nash was also named among the top 20 philanthropic donors, across all business sizes, to arts and culture in the Portland metropolitan area. The publication annually celebrates community service and corporate giving among the region’s businesses.
“It is a testament to our firm’s 140-year commitment to Oregon that we continue to be recognized for our community involvement, charitable contributions and pro bono work, all of which are at the core of Miller Nash’s company culture,” said Kieran Curley, managing partner. “We are happy to join the incredible group of businesses and organizations that share a dedication to giving back to the community and providing assistance to those in need.”
As part of its celebration of 140 years in the practice of law, Miller Nash recently established the Miller Nash Legacy Fund, a charitable fund that will enable the firm to continue pursuing its philanthropic goals for many years to come. The fund, managed by The Oregon Community Foundation, will support nonprofit organizations throughout Oregon and Washington through annual grants.
The winners of Oregon’s most philanthropic companies were announced in the Sept. 13 issue of the Portland Business Journal and recognized at a luncheon hosted at the Hilton Hotel in Portland.
