Miller Nash Adds Sciuchetti, Zahniser, and Guess to its Construction Team

West Coast law firm Miller Nash Graham & Dunn LLP (“Miller Nash”) is pleased to announce three additions to the firm’s construction law team. Experienced attorneys Jacob Zahniser and Andrew Guess join the firm’s Portland office from Jordan Ramis, and veteran Kyle Sciuchetti joins the firm’s Vancouver office from Bullivant Houser Bailey.

Miller Nash’s construction team represents owners, developers, general contractors, key trade contractors, design professionals, and others in the construction industry. The team supports a variety of industry-leading clients in areas including healthcare, education, manufacturing, hospitality, gaming, government, and technology. Members of the team negotiate contracts and litigate disputes for large and small construction projects in the Northwest and across the country.

About Kyle Sciuchetti
Sciuchetti joins the firm’s Vancouver, Washington office as a partner with over 20 years of experience drafting and negotiating construction contracts, litigating construction matters, and providing general business advice. Sciuchetti previously served as senior in-house counsel for the Public Power Council and as assistant City Attorney/Prosecutor for the City of Spokane. He is licensed in Washington, Oregon and Idaho, and is routinely recognized by The Best Lawyers in America© for his litigation practice. Sciuchetti maintains a high profile in the community surrounding Southwest Washington as District 3 Governor for Southwest Washington, Washington State Bar Association, past chair of the Clark County Food Bank and the Board of Directors for the Humane Society for Southwest Washington. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington before receiving his law degree from Lewis & Clark Northwestern School of Law.

About Jacob Zahniser
Zahniser joins the firm’s Portland, Oregon office as a partner with over 10 years of experience focused on construction and real estate litigation. He represents general contractors, subcontractors, remodelers, owners, property managers, and municipalities in a wide variety of litigation matters. He is licensed in Oregon and Washington and is a member of the Executive Committee for the Oregon State Bar Construction Section. Zahniser earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland before receiving his law degree, cum laude, from St. John’s University School of Law.

About Andrew Guess
Guess joins the firm’s Portland, Oregon office as an attorney with five years of experience in construction law. He represents contractors, design professionals, and owners throughout the life cycle of construction projects, including during litigation. Prior to law, Guess helped manage the development and construction of large-scale, multi-family developments in California. He earned his law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of Law, and has a Master’s degree in construction management from California State University, East Bay. Guess is licensed in Oregon and California.
