Michelle Nisle

Partner

Michelle Nisle specializes in estate litigation, appears in court for guardianship petitions and probate proceedings, and represents clients in elder abuse administrative and legal proceedings. Before entering private practice, she served for eleven years as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney and handled many complex jury trials, motion hearings, and gained extensive courtroom experience. During her last two years as a prosecutor, she was the lead prosecuting attorney for the Elder Justice Center, where she oversaw the prosecution of defendants charged with exploiting vulnerable adults, including financial elder abuse. Michelle draws on her extensive litigation background to aggressively pursue an equitable result for beneficiaries of estates. She is also well-versed in trust and estate law and has extensive experience representing trustees and clients acting in their role as power of attorney and advising them on their fiduciary duties.

Michelle also assists clients with their estate planning needs and handles the drafting of trusts, wills, and medical directives. After seeing the financial and emotional violations that can occur at the Elder Justice Center, Michelle decided to help people proactively plan for their future. She assists clients with carefully thought-out estate planning in order to achieve protection of their assets, give clear direction for future health care decisions that may be made on their behalf, and put clear guardianship plans in place for their minor children.

Michelle also assists families and loved ones petition for guardianship over vulnerable adults who lack the mental capacity to manage their own medical or financial affair as well as helping clients navigate the probate process in the court system.

Michelle has combined her background and experience in litigation with her estate planning knowledge and uses both to represent clients in all manner of TEDRA proceedings.
