Mentoring Program

Mentoring helps ensure that our attorneys interact with each other to share ideas, translate knowledge into practice, promote workforce diversity, adapt to change, and develop new leaders. Miller Nash Graham & Dunn has a formal mentorship program for associates, which is managed and overseen by the firm's Director of Recruiting and Professional Development, Recruiting Committee Chair, and Diversity Committee Chair. These individuals check on the associates and their mentors at regular intervals to ensure that regular communication is occurring, and to determine whether an informal mentor/mentee relationship has developed to replace the initial formal relationship.

To help encourage mentor meetings, all mentors are given coffee gift cards to use when meeting with their mentees. The firm also sets aside funds for mentoring lunches.

Mentors receive regular communications from the Director, reminding them of their obligations and giving them constructive ideas and practical suggestions for a successful mentoring relationship.
